Fanny Woo

  1. How long have you been in business? Over 25 years in the beauty and retail industry. Two and half years of Monday Sparkles.

  1. Why did you decide on this particular business? Beauty and style is inside out and outside in. I believe that wearing the right outfit or changing your lip color can instantly change your mood. I love helping women and men find their style that is reflective of who they are. With Monday Sparkles, we wanted to create something for tweens to experience friendship, kindness, and self-love offline. To make memorable connections with their mothers and friends.

  1. What is the biggest joy you get from your profession? Watching their transformations from the inside out.

  1. What are some of your favorite business tools or resources? My phone, to stay connected. Virtual Facebook groups, to learn and be inspired. Magazines for inspiration. Mentors and fellow entrepreneurs, to help me learn.

  1. Are you active on social media and how can we follow you and your business? Facebook and Instagram is where you will find me. @stylelitte @mondaysparkles

  1. Who is your target audience or people you are trying to help? For makeup and fashion, it’s both men and women. Busy executives, anyone in a wardrobe rut, postpartum, new job, new life, special events.

  1. What is your favorite way to spend time with your children? Planning and going on adventures/family trips. Baking with my oldest, shopping and with my second, and snuggling with my youngest while he still wants to snuggle.

  1. Was it part of your plan to be an entrepreneur while having young children? I always thought I would be a full-time working mom.

  1. How do you balance both entrepreneurship and motherhood? I gave up on balancing about a year ago. For me, there will never be a true balance. Instead, I focus on harmony. I also try to make time for myself.

  1. Do you have any words of wisdom to help other moms also juggling motherhood and entrepreneurship? OH DO I!! Have a tribe you TRUST. Be thoughtful. Find a mentor if you can. Have a sense of humor. There will be others that will have your back and help you. You also need to help others propel forward as well. It’s okay not to be positive all the time. Most important: STOP DOING OR BEING WITH people/things that give you anxiety. It’s not worth it. Let those things go and make room for the good things.
